Interesting Place In Melaka - Taming Sari Tower

Menara Taming Sari is the watch towers as high as 110 meters , located in Bandar Hilir , Malacca (next Datara Warrior ) . The tower can be rotated 360 degrees for the visitors a panoramic view of Melaka City as a whole. The tower is a rotating tower of Malaysia's first Gyro . The cost of construction is around Rs 24 million . The tower was officially opened on 18 April 2008. Its design is based on the design Keris Taming Sari.

It can accommodate up to 66 people at any one time and is open from 10am to 10pm with adult ticket price of RM20 , children and the elderly RM17 to RM10 per person. Interestingly MyKad owners are able to get discounts of up to 50 % when using this service . The tower was built using Swiss expertise capable of transporting 240 passengers in an hour . A spin session will take about 7 minutes.


The original location of this tower is on the banks of the Malacca River ( near Building Stadhuys ) but moved at a new site on the original site because there are ruins of the old wall of the Malacca Sultanate era in addition to preserving the archaeological geofak . Here too there is a café , named Taming Sari Cafe and a gift shop
