Interesting Place In Johor - Sultan Abu Bakar Royal Museum

Sultan Abu Bakar Royal Museum was originally the Grand Palace, the residence of the Father of Modernisation of Johor , Sultan Abu Bakar . The museum was first built in 1864 and was completed in 1866. Design that combines Malay and English architecture is inspired by Datuk Yahaya Hew . Indeed, the Duke of Endinburgh visited the Great Palace in 1867 .

In the early 1990s , His Majesty the Sultan Iskandar has decided that the public should be given the chance to see the Royal Family Collection in the museum are perfect and orderly. He also decreed that the Grand Palace converted into a museum and at the same time still used for ceremonies and customs Entertainment Royal Johor . With that , he was officially declared the opening of the Sultan Abu Bakar Royal Museum on May 11, 1990 .

Inside the museum , stored relics including the Johor royal family in art , equipment, customs, the official weapons , medals and honorary titles as well as a collection of jewelry made from gold , silver and buying.
